The Mission

The Economic Development Centre, a Division of Centre for Homeownership and Economic Development, Corporation (TEDC) mission is to provide innovative training solutions for small businesses and individuals who were impacted by Covid-19. TEDC has a robust menu of classes that offers in-depth certification training for individuals looking to advance or pursue a new career; and businesses looking to compete in tomorrow's economy.

TEDC has researched careers that are in demand today. The Transportation/ Trucking industry (Commercial Drivers Licensing), HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration), Occupational Healthcare

(Phlebotomy), and Photovoltaic Design and Installation industries are hiring frequently. We have garnered partnerships with NC Clean Energy Technology Center, Vance-Granville Community College, Radiant Logistics, Maria Parham Medical Center, and many more to offer cutting-edge vocational training programs.

 

In addition, TEDC provides business technical assistance and coaching to help a business learn how to design an effective business model, protect their business, get certified and procure contracts from local, state, and Federal Government, attract new customers, and obtain funding.
